RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team had a tough day two of the Falcon Invite as they dropped two matches. In match one, the Falcons faced No. 23 St. Thomas University and fell in three sets (25-14, 25-16, 25-20). In match two the Falcons faced off against the College of St. Benedict where they fell in three sets (17-25, 25-27, 13-25).

THE OPPOSITION
- The Tommies hit .370 as a team and had 45 kills
- Whitney Lloyd and Brooke Reichard each had 12 kills in the match.
- Madie Kroehler had 14 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ST. BENEDICT
- The Falcons were again challenged in the second match of the day against St. Benedict as they fell in three sets.
- In set two the Falcons battled to a 25-27 loss. It was the best set for the Falcons as they hit .242 and had 13 kills.
- Overall the Falcons hit .125 (29-17-96) and were led by senior middle Amara Meyer who had nine kills and hit .389.
- Karli Nielsen hit .400 (7-1-15).
- The front row was strong with 18 assisted blocks. Karli Nielsen combined for seven.
- Dakotah Poitra had 16 of the Falcons 38 digs in the match
THE OPPOSITION
- St. Bens hit .258 and were led by Hunter Weiss who had a game high 10 kills.
- Haley LaValle had 16 digs.
LOOKING AHEAD
- The Falcons travel to UW-Eau Claire September 20th to take on the Blugolds in the first WIAC matchup of the season. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
