MENOMONIE, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team traveled to Menomonie, Wis. to take on WIAC rival UW-Stout. The match was a back and forth battle that the Blue Devils were able to win as they won 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-STOUT
- In the first set, the Falcons started out with a 6-1 lead before the Blue Devils would tie it up 10-10. The Falcons tied it up four more times in the set before Stout was able to pull ahead two points to win the match 26-24.
- The second set was an alternating battle until the Falcons went on a six point run that gave them the 25-21 win.
- It started out as another back and forth battle in the third until the Blue Devils went on a seven point run that the Falcons could not recover from. UW-Stout won the set 25-20.
- In the final set of the night, the Blue Devils go out to a 9-3 lead before the Falcons pulled ahead by one with a seven point run. The set continued with a back and forth battle that Stout would win 25-21.
- Overall in the match the Falcons hit .144 (39-20-132).
- Hannah Striggow had a team high eight kills and hit .400. Dakotah Poitra and Savannah Brauer each had seven.
- Mallory Griffin and Hailey Huseth each had 16 assists.
- Hannah Robb carried the defense with 22 digs. Pointra had eight and Griffin and seven.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Blue Devils hit .190 (57-28-153) in the match.
- Amber Ripley had twelve kills and Emili Cain and Ashley Pratt each had eleven.
- Steph Cannon had a match high 27 digs.

- The Falcons travel to UW-Oshkosh (11-13, 0-4 WIAC) on Friday evening. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
