Sean McKuras enters his 25th season as the UW-River Falls women's soccer head coach in 2026.
McKuras guided the Falcons to one of the most successful stretches in recent program history. During the 2025 season, he recorded his 200th career victory at UW-River Falls with a 2-1 win over St. Scholastica on Sept. 21. The Falcons finished 13-5-2 overall, placing second in the WIAC regular season standings, posting the program's highest win total since the 2003 squad went 17-4-0.
UWRF hosted a WIAC Tournament match for the first time since 2014, defeating UW-Oshkosh, 3-1, in the first round to advance to the semifinals. The Falcons battled UW-Platteville to a scoreless draw before falling in penalty kicks to conclude their season in the WIAC Semifinals.
Following the season, seven Falcons earned All-WIAC recognition, while McKuras and his staff were named WIAC Coaching Staff of the Year, his third time receiving the honor in his career. Lauren Best was selected as the WIAC Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete, and three Falcons earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors, the most All-Region selections in a single season in program history.

McKuras was named the WIAC Coach of the Year for the second straight season after leading the Falcons to a school best 17-4 overall record.
