Keegan Nielsen finished up his second season with the Falcons after joining the UWRF men's basketball coaching staff during the 2024-25 season.
Nielsen is a native and graduate of Prescott High School in Prescott, Wis., and is a UWRF alum having played four years on the Falcon Football team from 2016-19. He earned his bachelor’s degree in elementary education and is currently a fifth grade teacher at Spring Valley Elementary in Spring Valley, Wis.
Nielsen was the head C-team boys’ basketball coach at Prescott High School from 2022-2024. While on staff he also filled the role of varsity assistant under legendary Wisconsin High School basketball coach, Nick Johnson. During his tenure, he helped his team win a pair of regional finals and a sectional final while reaching the WIAA State semifinals. Before coaching at Prescott, Nielsen was a youth and AAU coach for five years. He has worked out and trained many players at all collegiate and youth levels.
