Welcome to UW-River Falls Athletics
What an exciting year for Falcon Athletics at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls! The campus has experienced numerous construction projects this summer, including new state-of-the art lights and a new public address system at Ramer Field, new lighting in Hunt Arena and new netting surrounding the track & new batting cages at the Knowles Center.
In addition to facility upgrades, we are proud to announce that the 400+ student athletes representing UWRF earned an institutional 2.946 grade point average during the 2009-10 academic year. The grade point average for the entire UWRF student body came in at 2.923. Nearly one-half of our student athletes, 197 in total, earned a 3.00 GPA or above. We are extremely proud of the academic successes of our Falcon athletes!
The Falcon athletic staff is not only dedicated to teaching student-athletes how to improve upon their athletic skills, but also how to become better citizens. Life skills, as well as teamwork, academic and athletic performance, leadership and character are but a few of the values encouraged through Falcon Athletics.
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is a proud member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). As educational leaders, it is our responsibility to establish an environment wherein student-athletes experience a comprehensive athletics program including; cultural diversity, gender equity, inclusiveness and character as core values.
We hope you enjoy our new Falcon Athletics website and encourage you to follow our teams and attend our home athletic events. Go Falcons!
