  • The Pipers would tie the score at the 13:03 mark as Brandon Reinholz would put home a loose puck sitting in the crease.
  • The strong defensive play continued from both teams, Zach Quinn came through for the Falcons with some timely saves to keep the score knotted at 1-1.
  • The Falcons went on the Power Play right around the half-way point of the period but could not break the 1-1 tie.
  • Hamline would grab a 2-1 lead in the second period as Russ Jordan would pass across the Falcon zone to the trailing Jaycob McCombs whose wrist shot beat Zach Quinn over his right shoulder.

  • The Falcons would come out on fire in the 3rd period carrying the play early.  It would pay off as UW-River Falls would tie the score early in the 3rd period on the Power Play as Eddie Matsushima would score his 11th as he snapped a shot high over Evan Robert's shoulder.
  • Hamline would go on the Power Play moments later, but the Falcons had the best chance of the power play as Peter Karavos would steal the puck at the Falcon blue line and skate in on a break away, but his shot was just wide.

  • Late in the 3rd period, Cayden Cahill had a breakaway as the Hamline defenseman fell down, but his shot hit the outside of the net.
