Box Score RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's basketball team came back in the second half to get a nonconference win over Concordia College Sunday afternoon. The Falcons beat the visiting Cobbers by ten with a score of 70-60.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Brynn Liljander started the game with a three-pointer twenty seconds in and Taylor Karge followed it was a three of her own to give the Falcons their first lead of the night.
- The Cobbers answered back with an eight point run that gained them a lead that they maintained through the end of the first quarter.
- At the start of the second quarter, Hayley Rau hit a jumper to tie it up 17-17 but the Cobber came back with back to back threes to put themselves up six.
- With 6:21 remaining in the half, Liljander drove one in for two points and tied the game back up 24-24.
- The two teams exchanged baskets and the lead for the next four minutes before the Cobbers finished out the half with a ten point run that put them up 39-31 going into the half.
- The Falcons came out strong in the second half scoring nine points and gaining a one point advantage.
- The two teams again battled back and forth for the lead the rest of the quarter with the Cobbers again finishing on top with a one point lead heading into the fourth.
- Anna Rollag opened up the final quarter with a steal and a three pointer to put the Falcons up two.
- The Falcons followed with a 14-3 run that put them up by 11 points, their biggest lead of the night.
- The Cobbers tried to rally back scoring nine points but the Falcons put up five points in the final minute giving themselves the ten point victory.
IN-DEPTH LOOK
- Brynn Liljander had a game high 21 points on 8-14 shooting. She was 3-7 beyond the arc. She was hot in first half scoring 13 points which included three three-point shots.
- Taylor Karge scored 18 points on 7-14 shooting. She made four shots from downtown and added five assists.
- The bench accounted for 22 points. Crystal Pearson had eight on 4-8 shooting from the floor.
- As a team, the Falcons were 29-59 (49.2 percent) from the floor and shot 9-15 (42.9 percent) from beyond the arc. They converted 27 points off of turnovers.
THE OPPOSITION
- Mira Ellefson came off the bench to be the leading scorer for the Cobbers. She scored 17 points on 7-9 shooting. She was 3-5 beyond the arc and had three rebounds.
- Jamie Mentzer was the only other Cobber player to get double digit points scoring 12 on 4-9 shooting from the floor. She was 2-5 from the arc and 2-2 from the charity stripe.
- The Cobbers shot 22-45 (48.9 percent) from the floor and made ten three-point shots. In the first half, they shot 14-23 (60.87 percent) from the floor
