RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's basketball finished the weekend 2-0 after beating St. Norbert College 55-37 in the second day of the UW-River Falls Tournament. The Falcons had an explosive second half scoring 33 of their 55 points in the half.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The Knights started the game with a five point run that was broken up at 5:46 when Hayley Winzenried was called for a foul and Taylor Karge was able to go to the line shoot for one.
- It would take the Falcons four more minutes before they would get a point on the board when Danielle came off the bench to make a 3-pointer and get the Falcons within five.
- Tess Hubbard finished the quarter out with a jumper but the Falcons still trailed 6-11.
- The Falcons scored first in the second quarter at 8:28 when Madelyn O'Brien made a layup to shrink the Knight lead to just three.
- Jaycie Gerding tied it up 13-13 at 4:41 with a layup.
- Brynn Liljander made a three that gave the Falcons their first lead of the game and Taylor Karge would follow it with two free throws to give the Falcons a 22-18 lead at the half.
- Liljander and Hayley Rau each had five point in the first half. Rau was 2-4 from the floor and Liljander was 2-2 from the line. The Falcons overall were 6-6 from the line as a team.
- The Falcons increased their lead in the third quarter with a ten point run that put them up 32-23 with one minute remaining.
- In the fourth, the Falcons had their best performance scoring 23 points. Taylor Karge accounted for 12 of the 23 points.
- Karge had an impressive second half scoring 14 points and collecting three rebounds, three blocks and two steals. She was 7-8 from the floor.
IN-DEPTH LOOK
- Taylor Karge led the Falcons for the second game in a row with 17 points. She was 7-13 from the floor and 3-4from the line. She had a double double night getting 10 rebounds.
- Brynn Liljander finished the game with 10 points and five assists. She was a 4-4 from the line and was 2-9 from the floor. She made two her five three-point shots.
- Crystal Pearson came off the bench to score seven points and accumulate 22 minutes of play.
- As a team, UW-River Falls shot 21-56 (37.5 percent) from the floor. The Falcons were 4-17 (23.5 percent) from the three point arc and connected on 9-13 (69.2 percent) from the line.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Green Knights shot 11-42 (26.2 percent) from the floor, 3-13 from the arc and 12-24 from the line.
- Sarah Wiseman had 11 points and was 3-9 from the floor. She was 1-1 from the arc and 4-4 from the line.
- Regan Carmichael had six points and eight defensive rebounds. She also collected two steals.
