RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team played host to the UW-Platteville Pioneers for their last home match of the season where Falcons took a moment to honor seniors Sam Garvin and
Amara Meyer. The Falcons made it a tight game pushing the match into four games but they were unable to come up with the win losing 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-STEVENS POINT
- The Falcons went on a six point run in the start of the first set and maintained a lead till the Pioneers tied it up at 23-23. Pioneer outside hitter Allison put away three kills to clinch the 25-23 first set win.
- The Falcons took set two 25-21.
- Set three was a back and forth battle that the Pioneers would pull off by going on a small run at the end to win 25-23.
- The Pioneers took the lead in the fourth set half way through and maintained it till the end to pick up the match win 25-19.
- Hannah Striggow led the offense with 10 kills while Dakotah Poitra and Karli Nielsen each had eight.
- Karli Nielsen hit .500 with eight kills and she had a team high of four blocks
- Hannah Robb had a match high 19 digs followed by Dakotah Poitra who had 12.
- Hailey Huseth had 23 assists.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Pioneers led in all team categories except digs where the Falcons out dug them 52-42;
- Allison Jensen led the Pioneers offensively with 17 kills and helped lead the team to a .181 hitting percentage.
- Defensively Madie Sailors had 17 digs followed by Grace Austin with 12 digs.
- Katie Jones and Kielyn Kapugi each had four blocks.
UP NEXT
The Falcons finish out the season on the road as they travel to St. Paul to take part in the Bethel College Triangular. First match will be against Augsburg at 4 p.m.
