RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team picked up a pair of nonconference wins on the road Saturday at the St. Scholastica Triangular.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST BETHANY LUTHERAN
- The Falcons took set one 25-19 over the Vikings hitting .281 (13-4-32)
- In set two, the Falcons took charge of things offensively hitting .429 (15-3-28)
- Set three started out looking like the Vikings were going to take it but the Falcons bounced back and took the set 25-21.
- Overall, the Falcons hit .319 (41-11-94) and were led but Dakotah Poitra and Amara Meyer who each had 11 kills.
- Hannah Robb had 16 digs and surpassed 1000 career digs with her performance.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Vikings hit .134 (30-17-97) as a team.
- Alannah Menk had eleven kills and Megan Rutt had nine.
- Anna led the Vikings defensively with nine digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ST. SCHOLASTICA
- The Saints won the first two sets (25-16, 25-18) making it look like the Falcons would be shut out in three, but the Falcons came back winning the last three sets (25-14, 25-21, 15-7).
- Overall, the Falcons hit .201 (54-25-144) and had an impressive third set where they hit .333 (11-2-27).
- Karli Nielsen led the Falcons offensively with 13 kills and hit .321.
- Dakotah Poitra and Amara Meyer had 12 kills and 10 kills respectively.
- The front row was strong with 12 total blocks. Meyer and Nielsen each had six.
- Mallory Griffin ran the offense with 25 assists and Hailey Huseth had 20.
- Defensively Hannah rob had 16 digs and Mallory Griffin had 10.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Saints hit .159 (45-24-132) as a team.
- Brooke Schermann had 11 kills and Brooke Elvehjem and Christaia Houser each had ten.
- McKenzie Orr had a match high 20 digs.

The Falcons host UW-Stevens Point Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The game will be the Falcons annual Play for a Cause game. The ladies will be raising money and spreading awareness for Bile Duct Cancer.
