Minneapolis, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls Cross Country team started the year off to a fast start as they competed in the Augsburg College Alumni Meet.
Julian Manley was the top male finisher of the meet.
Linsey Tolkkinen finished third overall on the women's side for the Falcons.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Junior Julian Manley finished first overall with a time of 15:56.5
- Sophomore Braydon Johnson was the second male Falcon to finish with a 12th place in a time of 16:43.9
- Sophomore Reid Schwechler finished 21st for UWRF with a time of 17:07
- Sophomore Sean Seichter finished with a time of 17:38.7, good enough for 40th place
- Sophomore Linsey Tolkkinen was the top women finisher for UWRF, she finished with a time of 20:02.6
- The Falcons had two top 10 finishers with senior Abby Fouts finishing sixth overall with a time of 20:24.9
- UWRF sophomore Nikki Jurik was 11th for UWRF with a time of 20:33.7
- Freshman Rebkah Wickman was the next Falcon finished next with a 41st finish with a time of 24.15.5
THE OPPOSITION
- Taybri Irving of Augsburg was the top woman finisher with a time of 18:52
- Warburg swept both the men's and women's meets with both teams registering 41 points

- The Falcons will next host their lone meet of the year on September 9th at 5:45 at Kilkarney Hills golf course.
