RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its All-Academic Award winners and Scholastic Honor Roll recipients for the 2015-16 academic year. Both awards are sponsored by Badgerland Financial, the official sponsor of the "WIAC Scholar-Athlete Recognition Program."
UW-River Falls had 185 student-atheltes receiving the award.  Nine of the fourteen teams represented had 10 or more student-athletes recognized for their academic work. Football led the way with 36 individuals represented. The nine varsity women's sports teams had 94 individuals honored and the five men's varsity sports had 91 individuals honored.Â
During the 2015-16 academic year, nearly 50 percent of the 5,007 student-athletes competing in the conference achieved a 3.0 grade point average or better (on a 4.0 scale) and were named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Individuals named to the Scholastic Honor Roll receive a certificate, while institutions claiming the All-Academic Award are provided a plaque.
