Borash Competes at National Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (uwrfsports.com) - Daniel Borash capped off his record breaking senior campaign for the Falcons with a 51st place finish at the NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships hosted by Spalding University in Louisville, KY Saturday morning.  Borash completed the race in 25:07, and earned the highest finish in school history at the Championships.  Borash's accomplishments this season have earned him a substantial legacy and have greatly contributed to the growth of the Falcon program.

Coach Petesch, "Daniel Borash is everything you could ask for in a runner, leader, and person.  Dan is the exact kind of runner we strive to have the program embody; a hard-working, no excuses kind of guy, he's the kind of person you want to root for.  The whole team is so proud of what Dan has accomplished this year and the new standard he has set for what we think is possible."

Daniel Borash, "Overall I was really happy with the season, I was able to reach almost every goal I set for myself.  At NCAA's I was hoping to be an All-American, and I know that everyone else in the race was as well.  I came and raced as hard as I could.  I gave it everything I had on the day, so I can't complain."  Borash on his advice to future Falcon teams, "I think its good to just enjoy the process and everything you do achieve and not to get hung up on what you don't"
