OSHKOSH, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - The UW-River Falls men's cross country team finished in 14th place out of 33 teams with 454 points at the NCAA Midwest Regional Cross Country Championships hosted by UW-Oshkosh. This was the best ever finish in school history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Daniel Borash led the team with a 14th place finish, the best ever in school history.
- Borash's performance earned him All-Region Honors and qualified him for the NCAA Division III National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, November 19th.
- Borash is just the second men's cross country runner in school history to qualify for the National Championships.
- In the two spot for the Falcons, running the best race of his collegiate career, was sophomore Braydon Johnson, finishing in 62nd in 26:09, a 10 second lifetime best and great improvement from his 129th place finish in 2015.
- Junior Julian Manley, battling an injury, ran tough and came in third for the Falcons in 26:40 for 93rd place.
- Sophomore Sean Seichter, running in his first Regional Championship, finished in 27:26, placing him 135th out of 244 competitors.
- In fifth position was sophomore Chase Arens, running just off of his personal best to finish in 150th with a 27:43.
- Senior Koday Guden capped off his UWRF career running in 6th for the Falcons, finishing in 181st with a 28:51.
THE OPPOSITION
- Ian LaMere (Univ. of Wisconsin-Platteville) was the defending NCAA Division III Midwest Regional champion and took this years championship with a time of 24:02.
- North Central College captured its 28th NCAA Division III Midwest Regional title with a score of 37.
