STEVENS POINT, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - The UW-River Falls men's cross country team finished in 7th place, a team best finish since 2012, at the WIAC Cross Country Championships hosted by UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Leading the charge was senior Daniel Borash, with a 5th place finish in a new school record time of 24:35. Borash now becomes UWRF's first ever First-Team All-Conference honoree thanks to his 5th place finish, the highest in school history.
- Borash's time of 24:35 was over a 30 second personal best, and improved the 8 year old school record by 20 seconds.
- Junior Julian Manley, battling a nagging injury, came in second for the Falcons in a new seasonal best time of 25:28.1.
- Manley's run earned him 20th place and an All-Conference Honorable mention.
- In the third spot was sophomore Braydon Johnson, finishing in 47th in 26:19, a 25 second lifetime best.
- Sophomore Sean Seichter came up big for the Falcons with a 40 seconds lifetime best of 27:12.0, earning him 74th.
- In fifth position was sophomore Chase Arens, putting up a solid performance finishing 80th, with a 45 second personal best time of 27:37.2.
- Sophomore Reid Schwechler rounded out the scoring with a seasonal best in 84th.
- The men's team score of 175 was their fourth best in the last 25 years.
THE OPPOSITION
- Coming in first individually was Ian Lamere from UW-Platteville with a time of 23:55.2
- Defending National Champions UW-Eau Claire took the top team spot with 41 points.
