The UWRF Athletics Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) understands that the holiday season is a busy time for most families. That is why they allow families to check their children, ages 8-12, in at River Falls for a day of fun!

On Sunday, Dec. 11, a group of approximately 20-25 UWRF student athletes and SAAC representatives will be chaperoning the annual Kids' Day Out from 3-5 p.m., in Karges Center. Families from River Falls and surrounding communities are eligible to participate in this enjoyable experience, free of charge!

John Bullis, SAAC president and Falcon hockey player, states, “We will play board games, watch movies, eat popcorn, do arts and crafts as well as play sports in the gym!” While the kids are having a blast doing these fun activities, parents or guardians have some free time to run errands for the holidays. Bullis continues, “Meeting kids from our community and being able to interact with them and play sports, as well as give parents free time to run errands is my favorite part of this event.”

Bullis adds, “We have had up to 30 kids one year and we encourage as many families as possible to drop off their kids!” The Falcon student athletes and SAAC representatives enjoy this event because it gives back to the community that supports them.
