Paige Cook (Rochester, MN, John Marshall) scored a hole-in-one to help lead the Falcon women's golf team to a tie for 14th place at the Doug Georgianni Invitational on Sunday in Eau Claire.
The Falcons finished with 767 strokes to tie with Ripon College for 14th place. UW-Eau Claire won the team title with 645 strokes.
Cook aced the par-3, 141-yard 12th hole. She used a six iron to ace the hole. Cook was playing in her first collegiate tourney. She shot a 90 on Sunday and finished with a two-day total of 174. She placed in a tie for 20th place.
Mackenzie Casey (River Falls, River Falls) was second for the Falcons with a two day total of 185. She shot a 93 on Sunday and she finished in a tie for 52nd place.
Janae’ Lyon (Woodbury, MN, Tartan) was third for the Falcons after she shot a 97 on Sunday. She finished with a two day total of 191 and placed 66th.
Heather Horgen (Grand Rapids, MN, Grand Rapids HS)finished with a two day total of 217. She shot a 112 on Sunday and placed 98th overall.
Ashley Hersant (Appleton, Xavier)shot a 116 on Sunday and had a two day total of 223. She finished in 101st place.
Sunday's round was played at the par 73, 6,044 yard Wild Ridge Golf Course in Eau Claire.
The meet's medalist was Kate Schenfeld from Gustavus Adolphus. She shot a two day total of 157.
The Falcons will next play in the Wartburg College Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
