Amber Dohlman completed her ninth season as UWRF's head softball coach in 2024, a season in which she eclipsed 100 career wins.
Dohlman has coached 24 All-WIAC players and five All-Region athletes in her eight seasons. Most recently, Keegan Piton earned All-Region honors in 2023 and Johanna Breyen in 2021. Breyen was also named the WIAC Newcomer of the Year in 2021.
A 2008 UWRF alum, Dohlman returned to River Falls in 2016 after serving as the head softball coach at Millikin University for three years. She led the Big Blue to a 20-15 record in her first season as head coach. In 2013, Millikin set a single season record in home runs. She coached four CCIW All-Conference players in her three seasons.
Dohlman joined the Millikin staff after serving as an assistant softball coach at UW-Eau Claire. She spent 2011 and 2012 on the UWEC staff, helping coach the Blugolds to a 33-14 record, the WIAC regular season championship, and a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2012.
Dohlman was on the softball staff at UW-River Falls from 2006-2010 as a student assistant and assistant coach, helping lead the Falcons to a 134-76-1 overall record.
In addition to her coaching duties, Dohlman serves as UWRF’s senior woman administrator. She is an active member of the NCAA Softball Regional Advisory Committee and has served as the NCAA Representative at multiple NCAA Championships.
She earned her undergraduate degree in 2008 from UWRF in secondary education-health and human performance with an emphasis in exercise and sport science.
